Elvyn Jones - Editor
Elvyn Jones is a seasoned newsman who brings a wealth of experience in community journalism to the Eudora News.
Elvyn began his career in journalism in 1991 after receiving his degree from Kansas State University. He served as a reporter with the Osawatomie Graphic and as the editor of the Sabetha Herald. Before coming to the De Soto Explorer and the Eudora News, Elvyn worked for two years as the Johnson County government reporter for the Olathe Daily News. Elvyn became reporter at the Explorer in August 2000 and was named editor of The Explorer and the Eudora News in August 2001.
Elvyn lives in Baldwin.
David Oakes - Reporter
David Oakes has joined the staff of The Eudora News as the Eudora reporter.
Oakes has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and master's degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Prior to working at The Eudora News, David worked as a copy editor and reviewed music and movies for the Reno Gazette-Journal.
He also taught Writing Across Media as a part-time adjunct instructor at UNR. David and his wife, Kendra, live in Lawrence where she is attending law school at Kansas University.
Caleb Regan, Sports editor/reporter
Caleb Regan graduated from Kansas University in December 2006 with a degree in print journalism.
He covered Jayhawk sports for the University Daily Kansan for four semesters while in school.
Caleb grew up in Fort Scott and now lives in Lawrence. He is a fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs and enjoys hunting and fishing.
