Memorial services for Stephen Gerry Douglass, 31, Kansas City, Kan., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hesper Friends Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Mr. Douglass died May 5, 1999, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Oklahoma City, Okla., from injuries sustained in the Oklahoma City tornadoes.
He was born March 26, 1968, in Lawrence, the son of Lee and Shirley Douglass.
He moved to Eudora in 1975 and attended Eudora schools from second grade through high school. He was a member of the Eudora High School honor choir and completed his G.E.D. in 1986.
Mr. Douglass worked for Kirby Vacuum Sales in Texas for 10 years and was named the top Kirby salesman four years. Most recently, he was a truck driver for England Trucking Company. He was also a member of Lenexa Family Church.
A brother, John Mark Douglass, preceded him in death in 1974.
Survivors include his parents, Eudora; three brothers, Kirk Lee Douglass, Lawrence, Toby Loren Douglass, Gardner, and Nathan T. Douglass, Eudora; and three sisters, Deborah Ruth Adhikary, Nepal, Sarah Albright, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Rachel Hunt, Athens, Tenn.
The family suggests memorials to the Stephen G. Douglass Memorial, in care of Lee and Shirley Douglass, 604 Church Street, Eudora, KS 66025.
