Services for Bobby G. Roberts, 69, Lawrence, were Friday, June 1, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial was in Eudora City Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1931, in Lawrence, the son of Charles Lee and Telsia Iva (Callahan) Roberts.
Mr. Roberts served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and retired in 1972. He then worked several jobs, including working as a steamfitter for Kansas University. He retired in 1988.
He married Shirley Anderson on May 31, 1951, in Salem, Ark. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Jeanne Michel, Christy Jones and Cindy Roberts, all of Lawrence; two brothers, Larry Roberts, Lawrence, and Charles Lee Roberts Jr., Oskaloosa; two sisters, Eula Reynolds and May Abel, both of Lawrence; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the mortuary.
