Susan Seurer

Memorial services for Susan Seurer, 57, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. March 29 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.

Mrs. Seurer died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born July 27, 1943, in Dedham, Mass., the daughter of Donald James and Eleanor (McCann) White. She grew up and attended school in Massachusetts and moved to Lawrence in January 1983 from California.

Mrs. Seurer and her husband owned and operated Pop's Bar-B-Que. She also had worked for Dillons for many years, then for Sallie Mae for five years and for Westlake Hardware for the past two years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She married Frank Seurer Sr. in 1961 in Costa Mesa, Calif. He died Aug. 2, 1983.

Survivors include three sons, Frank Seurer Jr., Olathe, Troy Seurer, Prescott, Ariz., and Tim Seurer, Eudora; a daughter, Beth Clement, Lawrence; a brother, Donald White, Texas; two sisters, Pat McCall, Fountain Valley, Calif., and Pam Ahlberg, Spring City, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
