Eudora High School Coach Aaron Barnett began molding a group of freshmen in the fall of 1998 during his first season at EHS. Three years later, the group boasted of a Frontier League Championship, two bi-district championships, a no. 4 ranking in the Kansas Class 4A poll, the first-ever school victory over Paola, and an 18-4 record.

City planners OK rezoning for duplexes

After continued public debate and committee discussion, the Eudora Planning Commission decided to recommend rezoning a portion of land near K-10 Highway, south of the stalled Whispering Meadows subdivision. Commission members Rod Moyer and Duane Gentleman voted against the plan.

At a recent speech on Islam, about half of the audience consisted of high school students. Sure, high school social studies teacher Robyn Kelso may have given students extra credit for their attendance, but the students are proof that Eudora schools are adding a new emphasis on the Middle East and current events.
