Services for Donald Alan Miller, 73, Lawrence, were Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Oak Hill Cemetery, with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 of Lawrence.
Mr. Miller died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka.
He was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Lawrence, the son of William L. and Effie L. (Fetty) Miller. He served in the Korean War in Company B, 53rd Infantry from 1954 to 1956. After serving in the military, he worked as a mechanic at Laird Noller Ford for 37 years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald A. Miller Jr., Nashville, Tenn., and John Miller, Eudora; a daughter, Lora Hopkins, Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Robert Miller, Lloyd Miller and Wesley Miller, all of Lawrence, and Glenn Miller, Redding, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
