Services for Ella Jean Smith, 64, Mount View, Ark., were Friday, Oct. 11, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Mount View.

She was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Allison, Ark., the daughter of Harold and Genevera (Pitts) Blevins. She grew up and attended school in Mount View until eighth grade, when she moved to Baldwin. She attended high school in De Soto. She moved from Eudora to Mount View six years ago.

Mrs. Smith was a cosmetologist in Eudora for many years. She was a member of Baptist Church in Mount View.

She married George Julian Smith on April 12, 1954, in Mount View. He died Sept. 25, 1983.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Montgomery Smith, Lawrence; two daughters, Linda Sue Smith, Mount View, and Sherrie Bridgett Smith Born, Lawrence; a stepfather, Billy G. Fulks, Pleasant Grove, Ark.; a sister, Lola Allen, Eudora; two brothers, Billy Ray Fulks, Jesup, Ga., and Gary M. Fulks, Batesville, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.

A son, Randy Smith, died July 5, 1991.

The family suggests memorials to the Ella Smith Memorial Fund, sent in care Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
