Services for Stanley G. Smith, 93, De Soto, were Friday, Oct. 11, at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, De Soto. Burial was at De Soto Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Eudora Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 28, 1909, in Martinsville, Mo., the son of Charles and Martha (Glenn) Smith.
Mr. Smith was a farmer in Harrison County, Mo. He moved to De Soto in 1952, where he worked for the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant and as a maintenance man for Sunflower Village.
He married Jewell Tilley April 17, 1930. She died earlier.
Survivors include a son, Roger Smith, De Soto; a daughter, Virginia Sims, De Soto; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
