Mermis-Minton
Clyde and Marybeth Mermis, Lawrence, and Sam and Barb Minton, announce the engagement of their children, Jill Beth Mermis, Eudora, and Brandon Ray Minton, Andover.
The future bride is a graduate from Decatur Community High School, Oberlin. She graduated from Kansas State University with a major in accounting and management information systems. She is an associate in the information risk management group at KPMG, LLP, in Kansas City, Mo.
The future groom is a graduate of Andover High School. He is currently studying construction management at Pittsburg State University.
The couple plan a May 31 wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.
The couple initially met through mutual friends at a millennium New Year's party . They met again at the same friend's wedding two years later.
