- Eudora resident Chase Austin, 16, is a normal kid. He studies in the Eudora school system and likes to hang out with his friends. And like many teenage boys, he likes car races, especially NASCAR. But his love for races does not stop at just admiration; Chase races stock cars, and has since he was 12.

- All Eudora High School cross country coaches Dan Kuhlman and Paul Boone wanted was a simple, nature trail for the cross country team to run on. But when they asked Eudora resident Ken Waldock if they could build on his land, they got so much more. After months of hard work, a two-mile trail, complete with plains, hills, forested areas, stream by-ways, natural barriers and various paths, was completed on Waldock’s land, specifically for the EHS cross country team. The team has been running on it since the beginning of the summer.

Then we hit a ditch, I rolled off the side of it and I twisted my leg.”

- Because of the sale of the Eudora United Methodist Church building, Sunday services for the church will take place at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, east of Eudora on Douglas County Road 442, until the end of the year. All weekly meetings will take place at Salem Chapel or at other announced locations.
