The Eudora Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its "Light Up Eudora" contest again this year. The contest rewards the area's best holiday light displays. Entries will be judged Dec. 15 and 16. Contestants should have their lights turned on between 6 and 10 p.m. each night for judging.

Grand prize is $100; first place township and city, $75 each; second place overall, $50; and eight honorable mentions, $25 each.

The contest is open to any area resident with a 542 or 690 telephone prefix. If the entry is in the rural community, directions to the display must be included on the registration form.

The deadline to register is 5 p.m. Dec. 14. An entry form can be found in this issue of the newspaper, at Eudora City Hall, 4 East Seventh St.; C&S Market, 1402 Church St.; Byrne's Pharmacy, 101 W. 10th St.; or The Eudora News, 1402-B Church St.

The registration forms also can be turned in at the above-mentioned businesses.
