Valuation notices going out

The Douglas County Appraiser's office will mail the 2008 personal property valuation notices Monday. Those taxpayers who had taxable personal property in 2007 will be sent an assessment form.
Personal property includes such items as boats, mobile homes, large truck, business machinery and equipment.
The assessment form must be signed by the property owner and returned by March 15. Late filers will be subject to a late filing penalty.
Taxpayers who own such property, but do not receive a form are asked to call the appraiser's office at 832-5289.
