- Upon re-examination, the U.S. Census Bureau apparently thinks Eudora’s population has eclipsed the 6,000-population threshold. According to an estimate released by the Census Bureau Thursday, Eudora’s population climbed by 244 people from July 2005 to July 2006 to reflect an estimated population of 6,027.

- An interlocal agreement that would put the Eudora Emergency Medical Service under city supervision appears to be moving on with one less player. Representatives from Eudora Township decided not to enter into a drafted agreement approved by the Eudora City Council at the end of April. Eudora City Administrator Cheryl Beatty and Eudora Mayor Tom Pyle were informed of the situation last week by the county, Beatty said.
