"Kansas Reads ... The Learning Tree," the inaugural one-book/one-state project especially for adults in the state runs through April 30.
The Kansas Center for the Book encourages every community in the state to read and discuss this classic by Gordon Parks, a native son and renaissance man. Kansas born genius Parks died March 7, 2006. Parks was a photographer, filmmaker, composer, poet and author.
Copies of "The Learning Tree" are available for check out at the Eudora Public Library.
Storytime for children ages 3 to 5 is from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesdays at the Eudora Public Library, 114 E. Ninth St.
The library has recently increased its collection of audios. Cassettes and CDs are both available.
