Pinecrest news

March 8, 2007

The March birthday party will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Pinecrest II clubroom.

Those celebrating March birthdays include Tillie Bichelmeyer, Michael High, Bettie Pettie, Kay Isaacs and Dianne Owens.

  • Southern Care Hospice will be at Pinecrest II clubroom from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday to play bingo with the residents.

  • Gina Thompkins and children Amanda and Mason, Lone Jack, Mo., visited their mother and grandmother Clarice Morriss Sunday afternoon.

  • Barbara Earnheart, Linwood, took her mother, Betty Ryan, and Bud Nielson to her home for dinner Sunday evening.
  • I talked to Tillie Bichelmeyer at the hospital Monday morning. She is recovering slowly and her heart attack didn't do any damage. It was just a bump in the road to recovery, Tillie said.

  • Kenneth and Janet Vorhies, Lawrence, visited his mother, Alta Vorhies, Sunday afternoon.

  • Beverly Johnson and I visited Gertrude Coon Friday morning at Vintage Park nursing center in Baldwin City. We went out for lunch afterward.

  • My daughter Sharon Musick and my two great-great-granddaughters Aftyn and Trinity Hankins visited Tiffany Musick and her infant son Salim Luke at Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Sunday. Salim had lost eight ounces, but was back up to 4 pounds 13-1/2 ounces. He is so tiny, but has a sweet little round face.
