Police report
The Douglas County Emergency Management will have free two-hour programs, "Weather 101" featuring Jennifer Stark, warning coordination meteorologist from the National Weather Service office in Topeka. The classes will be in Lawrence, Eudora and Baldwin City.
The programs will provide information about severe thunderstorm development and a discussion of severe weather safety.
All-hazard radios with onsite programming will be available during the program, at a cost.
The programs will be as follows:
- Lawrence: From 7 to 9 p.m. March 15 at Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.
- Eudora: From 7 to 9 p.m. March 21 at the Eudora City Hall, 4 E. Seventh St.
- Baldwin City: From 7 to 9 p.m. March 27 at Baldwin Elementary School (Intermediate Center) 100 Bullpup Drive.
