Sermon series
With the exception of March 11, Eudora United Methodist Church is having a Lenten and Easter sermon series based on the Gospel of Matthew each Sunday through April 15 at its temporary location at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, east on 10th Street on Douglas County Road 442.
The Rev. Michael Tomson-DeGreeff will lead the series "Jesus the Messiah King." He encourages participants to read the designated chapters weekly in preparation for the sermon the following Sunday.
Remaining topics include "The Reign of the King," Matthew 11-15; "The Disciples of the King," Matthew 16-18; "The Arrival of the King," Matthew 21-25; "Death of the King" Matthew 26-27 on Maundy Thursday; "The Return of the King" Matthew 28:1-15 on Easter, and "The Commission of the King" Matthew 28:16-20 on April 15.
The public is invited to participate in any or all of the sermons.
