Eudora man injured in K-10 accident
Kansas Highway Patrol officers identified a Eudora man as the person injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Kansas Highway 10 east of Lawrence.
At 11:15 a.m., Brad E. Torrence, 26, Eudora, lost control of his 1999 Dodge Avenger while headed east just past the city limits. His car spun out and struck the back of a 2006 Freightliner semitruck, driven by 45-year-old Manuel Gallegos, Roeland Park. Gallegos was not injured.
Torrence was not wearing his seat belt and was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, according to the accident report.
LMH spokeswoman Belinda Rehmer said Torrence was treated and released.
Medical commanders at the scene had asked dispatchers to check on the availability of a medical helicopter, but they later told dispatchers one would not be needed.
