Ten Eudora High School art students participated May 2 in the annual Frontier League art contest in De Soto. As a school, Eudora was allowed to enter 25 works of art to compete with the other 12 schools. There were three contests and a variety of workshops.
EHS placed third overall to maintain its record of always being in the top three schools. Kayla Humbert, Kara Gulley and Stefanie Wingebach placed first in the prestigious sidewalk chalk contest, earning 10 points, and Sam Randel, Kaitlyn Werst and Krystal Klebenstein were second in a new contest category, seed painting, earning seven points.
Excellence award winners went to Kara Gulley with three, Stefanie Wingebach with two and Tim Fredrickson and Sam Randel, with one each. Excellence award winners earned 10 points each.
Merit awards, which earn five points each, went to Morgan Abel and Betsy Bratschie.
