Bloom to receive award
Physical therapist Carolyn Bloom of Bloom & Associates Therapy will receive the 2007 Outstanding Practice Award of the American Physical Therapy Association's Private Practice Section Thursday in San Diego.
The award goes to a physical therapist whose physical therapy service and practice is a model for professional care, and meets the needs of the community.
Bloom has practiced in the Eudora, Lawrence and Topeka areas for 34 years and serves on the Executive Committee of the Kansas Physical Therapy Association. She also was appointed by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to the Kansas Physical Therapy Advisory Council of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts in 2004.
