Eighth-grade girls basketball
The eighth grade varsity team lost to Paola last Thursday 29-18. Paola jumped out to a 15-8 lead in the first half. The Lady Cards managed just two points in the third quarter but outscored Paola 8-6 in the fourth. Jennifer Bowser led Eudora in scoring with five points, while Madeline Dickerson and Beverly Virtue each added four.
The Lady Cards took on an oversized Ottawa Whirlwinds Tuesday night, but the Cards didn't let the size of the Whirlwinds get them down. They again played tenacious man to man defense early and gave the Whirlwinds a run for their money.
Ottawa opened the game up in the second half, however, and the Cards were defeated by the Whirlwinds 43-9.
Victoria Lehmann, Chloe Pittman, Cassie Roberts and Ashlyn Jackon each scored two points. Jennifer Bowser scored one.

The eighth grade JV squad managed its fourth straight win Thursday with a 24-18 win on the road against Paola. The two teams battled back and forth, both running man-to-man defenses. Beverly Virtue led the Cardinals in scoring with seven. Chloe Pittman contributed five. The Cards will next host Ottawa Tuesday.
Seventh-grade girls basketball
The seventh grade girls varsity basketball team picked up their second win of the season Tuesday with a 17-10 victory against Ottawa.
Sarah Kruger led the Cardinals with five points. McKenzie Oller had four. Danelle Topil, Annie Beck, Jennifer Pyle and Rayah Kobza each had two points.
The team lost Thursday to Paola, falling 32-11.

The seventh grade girls JV basketball team lost to Paola 22-20 Thursday, Nov. 8. Cameron Stude scored 12 points for the Cardinals, while Kyliegh Price added the other eight.
