National Influenza Vaccination week
The Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department will have a flu shot clinic from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Health Department, 200 Maine St., in Lawrence.
The clinic is taking place in order to raise awareness for National Influenza Vaccination Week, which is from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2.
The flu shot costs $18 for children up to age 3 and $23 for people 3-years-old and older. However, no one will be denied service because of inability to pay.
Clients eligible for Medicare Part-B, HealthWave, Medicaid and Blue Cross/Blue Shield can receive the flu shot at no charge if they bring their card.
For more information, call the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department at 843-0721.
