Education association supports bond
Representatives of the Eudora National Education Association agreed to offer their support for a Nov. 6 $45 million bond issue.
The association's public relations committee drafted a statement outlining why the group chose to back the referendum.
According to the statement, "After weighing all sources of information and considering the multiple responsibilities of the ENEA, including its obligation to advocate for more competitive teacher salaries and improved working conditions, the association has adopted the recommendation of the committee and has decided that the ENEA will officially endorse the school bond and will publicly advocate for its passage."
A full copy of the ENEA statement can be found at the Eudora USD 491 Web site www.eudoraschools.org/bond.
