You look to your right and catch a glimpse of three black spiders that measure about two feet in diameter stretched across the front of a house. You enter the cul-de-sac, and cloaked behind two large trees with little plastic Jack-o-lanterns and ghosts is Mike and Wendy Deines’ home at 61 Savage Terrace.

- Eudora coach Gregg Webb stood in front of the packed stands surrounding Laws Field, his family flanked to either side of him, and waved his thanks to an adoring crowd. Only moments before, career win No. 205 had become official, though he was currently acknowledging No. 200. All that’s on the Cardinals’ minds this week is No. 206, however. Eudora slammed De Soto 55-14, a win greased by eight Wildcat turnovers. The Cards are now focused on the showdown at Baldwin City.

- EudoraFest 2007 was fantastic. The 11th EudoraFest was the biggest one we’ve ever had. Main Street was packed with people. Vendor signup totaled 123. The car show had some real cool vehicles. The garden tractor pull had a large following. The talent show and entertainment was great. Even the cakewalk had a lot of winners.

- 7 years ago FROM THE EUDORA NEWS October 2000 Eudora High School seniors Ashley Kraus and Brian Harris were named homecoming queen and king during halftime ceremonies of the Eudora-Baldwin football game. Eudora defeated Baldwin 41-21 to win its first league title in 28 years.
