Eudora Township FD Halloween bash Saturday
October is fire prevention month, so the Eudora Township Fire Department has found a way to teach the public about fire prevention while combining the fun of Halloween.
Frightfully Fun Family Fire Prevention Night will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Eudora fire station, 310 E. 20th Street. There will be a chili feed and hot dogs and soup, as well as beverages and desserts made by the firefighters.
Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume and activities will include a haunted maze in the fire station, SpongeBob SquarePants Moonwalk, apple bobbing and a caramel apple table.
There is no cost, but donations are requested. All proceeds will go to the burn unit at Children's Mercy Hospital.
"It's a good way for families to come out and have a good time, and it's for a good cause," fire prevention officer Sue Coleman said.
For more information, call the fire department 542-2800 or call Coleman at 542-2994.
