Two local churches are providing safe alternatives to trick-or-treating by having special Trunk-or-Treat nights.

Eudora United Methodist Church will have its Trunk or Treat from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the lot on the northwest corner of 14th and Church streets. Children of all ages are invited to trick or treat from car to car, play games and be part of a costume contest at 4:30 p.m.

The Eudora United Methodist Church youth group will provide the games and prizes.

The community is invited to participate.

Family of Faith will have its Trunk or Treat with hot dogs, chips and drinks, games and treats for kids and a drawing for a large screen television and other prizes for adults from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church campus, 2295 N. 1300 Road, Eudora.

In case of rain, the Family of Faith event will be moved indoors.
