EHS Band

The Eudora High School Band Program sent one ensemble and two soloists to the State Solo and Small Ensemble Festival at Andover High School this past weekend. The percussion ensemble (Josh Blaisdell, Fabian Fernandez, John Chumbley, Ryan Pennington, Matt Schultz, Chad Wilson and Lucas Wingebach) performed very well and earned a 2 (Excellent) rating.
Josh Blaisdell also earned a 1 (Superior) rating accompanying Cantorei on the vibraphone in their performance this weekend.
Instrumental solo performances belonged to Josh Blaisdell on the marimba and Whitney Box on bass clarinet. Both Blaisdell and Box gave powerful individual performances and were rewarded with 1 (Superior) ratings. Blaisdell and Box are the first instrumental soloists to earn a 1 rating at the State level in more than twenty years.
The final band concert of the year will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the EMS Auditorium.
