Richard L. Landers 1943 - 2008
Services for Richard Lewis Landers, 64, Bonner Springs, were Tuesday, April 1, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial was in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Landers died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at his home.
He was born June 5, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., and had lived in the Bonner Springs area since 1971.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1961 to 1965 in the Cuban Crisis. For the past 14 years he has owned and operated Landers Retail Liquor in Edwardsville.
He is survived by Nancy Landers, of the home; two sons, R. Brian Landers, Leawood, and Bradley Landers, Bonner Springs; a daughter, Kelly Noble, Eudora; two sisters, Nancy Oelschlaeger, Lenexa, and Melba Gerber, Kansas City, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and or the Kansas City Hospice.
