Phillip D. Lister 1986 - 2008

Services for Phillip Drexel Lister Jr., 21, Lecompton, were Thursday, May 8, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. Burial was in a family cemetery in Lecompton.
Mr. Lister died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Oct. 20, 1986, in Lawrence, the son of Phillip D. Lister Sr. and Shelly R. Nichols. He graduated from Eudora High School in 2005.
Mr. Lister worked for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department as a corrections officer at the Douglas County Jail.
Survivors include his father, Phillip Lister Sr., Lawrence; his mother and stepfather, Shelly and Richard Nichols, Lecompton; two brothers, Dustin M. Lister, Lawrence, and Austin L. Bryant, Lecompton; three sisters, Courtney Nichols, Lecompton, Taylor Lister, Lawrence, and Brylee Graft, Eudora; and his grandparents, Jim and Patsy Hedden, Lawrence, and Walter Lister, Florida.
The family suggests memorials to the Phillip Lister Faith Fund, sent in care of Capitol Federal Savings, 1025 Iowa, Lawrence 66044.
