Eudora 491 Board of Education member Brenda Clark teams with Paige Dudley on a shovel Thursday at a ground breaking ceremony for the district's new elementary school to be built near 10th and Peach streets. The $27 million school, which will open in August 2009 when Paige is a first-grader, was part of the $45 million bond issue district voters approved in November. It will have room for 1,000 first- through fifth-graders.
