EHS Fall Sports 2005
The Cardinals' fall sports seasons came to an end recently, but garnered many successes. Several Eudora High School students and staff captured some of the teams' successes throughout the seasons. Eudora High School junior Brittney Graff claimed the state championship in girls cross country Oct. 29 in Wamego and led the team to a fourth-place finish. The girls team claimed the regional championship the week before while the boys team qualified three to make the trek to Wamego. Eudora football ended the season with a 6-0 regular season record - the best in school history since the 1960s. The team claimed the league championship after defeating De Soto and were district and bi-district runners-up, finishing with an 8-2 record after a first-round playoff loss Nov. 1 to Louisburg. The volleyball team claimed the sub-state championship in Tonganoxie and earned a return trip to state, but were not successful in moving out of pool play. The team finished the season 39-6. The soccer team had its best season in school history by finishing 2-14-1.
