Eudora celebrates with blast July 7, 2008
Eudora celebrated the nation's birthday with fireworks, ranging from firecrackers, backyard fireworks and the community display at the middle school.
The city spent $6,000 on the fireworks that were set off in the field between the middle school and the high school.
Ron Long and members of the Eudora Fire Department and EMS salute the flag while the national anthem played before the fireworks display. There was only one incident — a dumpster fire behind Dairy Queen around 10 p.m. — that the fire deparment was called to on Friday.
