- Members of the 2030 Vision committee met Monday night to discuss making a survey that will be sent out to Eudora residents in early June. The random survey, which consists of about 50 questions and focuses on the main issues discussed by the committee during meetings in November and January, will be sent to about 2,100 city utility customers with their bills.

- Lee Trimble was eased into the world of fundraising after a great turnout for Project Bucca, wherein her family asked for donations of items for U.S. troops in the Middle East. She now has decided to raise funds for Eudora Middle School, and more specifically, the mascot costume.

- The students of Nottingham Elementary School kindergarten teacher John Woodward are fully engaged Monday morning as they work in small groups on a math activity. As Woodward visits each group, he takes the time to get down on both knees to talk with them and his assuring voice seems to be a calming presence over the group of students.

- Condemnation process begins for wall

- he Eudora City Council Monday approved Monday a resolution to condemn the Main Street wall. The city must acquire a certified record of ownership and then place public notices in the newspaper for two weeks. A hearing will occur June 23 and the owners will have 30 days to appeal the decision. After the appeals process is finished, the city will be able to make changes to the wall. The whole process should be finished between August and September.

- The city of Eudora suffered a setback Thursday when Federal Judge David J. Waxse granted an amended complaint for damages to again be included in Douglas County Rural Water District No. 4’s lawsuit against the city.
