Senior Austin Hoover and his sister, sophomore Allison, have come up big for the Cardinals, and they say it wouldn't be possible without the support of one another, or the constant cheering their parents provide meet in and meet out.

- Sometimes it takes the Eudora softball team a few innings to warm up. The Cardinals beat Osawatomie 6-0 Tuesday, scoring all of their runs in the second half of the game. Coach Cara Kimberlin said the girls needed time to get used to the pitcher and the stadium for them to open up and show what they were made of.

- All it took was one close game against Wellsville for the Eudora softball team to really flex its muscles in the second game of a doubleheader last Thursday. But when all was said and done, the Cardinals went to bed that night with two more wins added to their record, finishing the first game 5-4 and the night cap 10-1.
